VACANCY- FAMILY HEALTH INTERNATIONAL (NGO)
JOB TITLE/REQUIREMENTS
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, RESEARCH AND PUBLIC HEALTH EVALUATION
LOCATION: COUNTRY OFFICE, ABUJA
• MD or PHD
• 7 yrs experience in program management including at least 2 yrs of demonstrated experience with US government grants, NGOs and public health/research or
• Masters degree in social science or public health with 9 yrs relevant work experience
• Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
JOB TITLE: SENIOR MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER (FCT ZONE)
REQUIREMENTS
• MPH or similar degree in monitoring and evaluated or related field with 5-7 yrs experience
• A bachelors degree will be considered with additional experience in monitoring and evaluation in reproductive health or HIV/AIDS programs in developing countries
• Experience working with local partners ,including NGOs and CBOs and knowledge of the local context
• Excellent computer skills with strong working sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infections
• Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff sub-contractors and recipients of assistance
• Well developed written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with USAID programs preferred
JOB TITLE: IT PROGRAMMING OFFICER (COUNTRY OFFICE ABUJA)
REQUIREMENTS
• B.Sc in computer science or related field
• At least 5-7 yrs of relevant data systems work, programming and analytic experience
• Proficiency in PHP/MySQL development platform ,C# or VB.NET programming languages with a list of verifiably completed software projects in PHB/MySQL
• Familiarity with client/server or multi-platform and web application development
• Demonstrated experience and interest in HIV and AIDS work
• Excellent administrative, organizational and information ordering skills
• Ability to use logic and critical reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Demonstrated ability to independently complete assigned tasks
• Relevant computer software skills
• Flexibility and ability to handle changing priorities
• Ability to train others as a good team player
• Ability to within Nigeria minimum of 35% of work time
• Experience in USAID programs is an added advantage

• Knowledge of health programs in developing countries

• BS/BA public health or related field and 5-7 yrs relevant experience or MS/MA in public health or related field and 3-5 yrs relevant experience in HIV/AIDS programming
• Experience working with NGOs or CBOs
• Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS programming and of project monitoring
• Knowledge of health programs in developing countries
• Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection
• Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain good working relationship with staff and other FHI partners
JOB TITLE: COMMUNITY HEALTH SPECIALIST (HAST)(KANO STATE)
REQUIREMENTS
• MBBS with at least 5 yrs post NYSC experience in community health practice
• At least 3 yrs experience in care and support for HIV/AIDS, reproductive health and tuberculosis at the primary health facility or community level
• Sound understanding of TB technical areas, experience with ART programs and knowledge of Nigerian public sector health systems, NGOs and CBOs
• Knowledge of health and community development programs in developing countries in general and Nigeria in particular
• Knowledge of the national AIDS and STI control and national TB control programs especially at the state and LGA levels
JOB TITLE: LABORATORY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE OFFICER
LOCATION: LAGOS, EDO, ANAMBRA, CROSS RIVER, TARABA, BAUCHI, KANO AND SOKOTO ZONE
REQUIREMENTS
• B.Sc or HND in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/electronics engineering
• Minimum of 3 years working experience with laboratory equipment
• Background in laboratory sciences is an added advantage
• Laboratory scientists with proven knowledge of laboratory equipment maintenance
