JOB TITTLE: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMES
REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 12 years working to implement poverty-focused or NRM programmes etc in the public sector or in an NGO setting
• A minimum of a Master’s qualification in development studies, natural resources management, social sciences or other related disciplines. Possession of a higher degree will be an added advantage
• At least 5 years of programme management experience leading and providing support to a team of frontline workers
• Planning, organizing and implementing large and complex projects with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to prepare quality narrative and financial reports on projects to donors
• Knowledge of the peculiar development challenges facing the Niger delta region
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the project team in planning, budgeting and implementing of project activities in line with LENF’s policies and procedures
• Provide mentoring and on-the-job training for project staff
• Develop and ensure partnering with and accountability to key stakeholders programme participants,donors,government,etc
• Provide leadership and advise in proposal writing and fundraising to expand LENF’s project portfolio
• Representing the organization to its various stakeholders,donors,media,civil society, communities and business,etc
JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
REQUIREMENTS
• At least 5 years post qualification experience in managing the finances of an NGO or government department
• Professional accountancy qualification ICAN or its equivalent; any further professional qualifications will be an added advantage
• Managing financial systems to ensure compliance with international accounting standards (inclusive of internal and external auditing)
• Budgeting for large and complex projects and developing accurate financial reports to donors
• Line managers of small medium sized teams with strong ability to lead a diverse team
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the development and management of financial systems and procedures; and provide sound financial advise to the executive director and the SMT
• Provide leadership in developing budgets for projects and in managing budget implementation as well as writing financial reports for management decision making
• Manage cash flow for all projects and sub-projects ,ensuring sufficient funds are available for the smooth operation of such projects
• Manage the external audit process and ensure the development of accurate financial reports to donors
JOB TITLE: TRAINING MANAGER
REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 8years post qualification experience within a training institution or an NGO
• A good university degree in development studies, social sciences, business studies or other related disciplines. A Master’s degree will be a distinct advantage
• Experience of managing the key stages in the training cycle
• Experience with accredited learning programmes is highly desirable
KEY REPONSIBILITIES
• Design ,develop and deliver quality training programmes to meet project objectives
• Market LENF’s training programmes to government agencies ,corporate sector and international development assistance agencies
• Develop and maintain an easily accessible learning resources centre within LENF
• Conduct training needs assessment for LENF staff on a periodic basis and ensure that appropriate training programmes are designed to meet the needs
